BIG DONATION TO FOSTA!
July, 2020
The Friends of the Sandwich Town Archives (FOSTA) recently received a significant donation of $2,000 from a grateful resident of California doing research into their family ancestry in Sandwich. Our Town Archivist, Deb Rich, responded to his telephone call for assistance and after considerable research was able to send him a number of documents related to his family’s roots in Sandwich dating back to the 1600’s. This is typical of the work Deb provides in assisting a person searching for their Sandwich ancestry. And receiving this donation is a wonderful and unexpected outcome that will help FOSTA in supporting the Town Archives to do their important work!

July 2020
Barbara Bangs MacNeil , member of our volunteer group, Friends of the Sandwich Town Archives, (FOSTA) undertook and has just completed updating the photographs of all the historic homes located in the Town Hall Square National Register District. These photographs have been placed in the Town Archives’ comprehensive Historical Asset files. These files document the research into notable historical aspects of each of the Town’s historic homes and are available at our Town Archives. The next projects will be to update historic homes in Forestdale and East Sandwich areas. Thanks, and good work, Barbara!
