Each Spring, the Friends of the Sandwich Town Archives (FOSTA) awards a scholarship to a graduating Sandwich High School senior. The award, in the amount of $1,500, is given to a full-time student continuing their education at a fully accredited institution. This award honors former town archivist Barbara Luksanen Gill (1932-2019). Ms. Gill served as Sandwich's second archivist for 28 years before retiring in 2016.
